Driver's License
All renters and additional authorized drivers must be in possession of a valid driver's license.  Foreign and International driver's licenses are acceptable.

Acceptable Form of Payment and Related Payment Conditions

The following are acceptable forms of payment:

1. Cash.  Security deposit plus total rental charges are required up front at the opening of the rental agreement.  Also, Physical Damage Waiver (PDW) is mandatory and not optional for debit/check card or cash paying customers.
2. Traveler's Checks (TC's).  Security deposit plus total rental charges are required up front at the opening of the rental agreement.  Also, Physical Damage Waiver (PDW) is mandatory and not optional for TC paying customers.
3. Major Credit Cards: VISA, MasterCard, Diner's Club, American Express, and JCB are all acceptable form of credit card payment. No security deposit required.  Physical Damage Waiver (PDW) is optional if renter is 21 years of age or older, and mandatory if renter is under 21 years of age.
4. Debit Cards (Visa/MC Check Cards):  Security deposit plus total rental charges are required up front at the opening of the rental agreement.  Also, Physical Damage Waiver (PDW) is mandatory and not optional for debit card paying customers.

Rentals
All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.  Gasoline at renter's expense.
 

Zero Deductible Coverage (ZDC)

Zero Deductible Coverage:   Zero Deductible Coverage (ZDC) is available as a supplemental option to PDW at the time of rental.

Benefit:  ZDC relieves the renter of financial responsibility for the deductible required under PDW, in the case of accidental damage due to a collision, whether the renter's fault or a third party.

Exclusions:  ZDC does not cover auto object (one-car) accidents, flat tires, tire rims, hubcaps, vandalism, and non-collision related glass window breakages. ZDC will not apply if renter has violated the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement, or in consequence of being intoxicated or under the influence of any narcotic, or if the renter failed to report the traffic accident to the Police and Thrifty Car Rental within 24 hours.

Rate:  $7.95 / day (All Class Groups)



Theft Protection Coverage (TPC)

Theft Protection Coverage:   Theft Protection Coverage (TPC) is available as an option at the time of rental.

Benefit:  TPC protects the renter from the cost of vehicle replacement in the event of theft of rental car, the cost of vehicle parts replacement in the event of stolen vehicle parts, and the cost for repair for damages to the rental car caused by acts of vandalism with intent to steal.

Exclusions:  TPC does not cover the cost of replacement of stolen personal effects in the event of rental car break ins.

Rate:  $7.95 / day (Class C, D, E, F)     $10.95 / day (Class J)



Personal Accident Coverage (PAC)

Personal Accident Coverage:   Personal Accident Coverage (PAC) is available as an option at the time of rental.  PAC protects the renter in the event of accidental death or any bodily injury for the duration of the rental.

Exclusions:  PAC will not apply if renter has violated the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement, or if loss results from intentionally self-inflicted injury, while committing or attempting to commit an assault or felony, or in consequence of being intoxicated or under the influence of any narcotic.
